Tionesta Lake is an earth fill dam located entirely in Forest County, 1.2 miles above the Allegheny River. The dam's primary purpose is flood control, but is also provides fish and wildlife habitats and countless opportunities for recreation. 

What types of recreation? All outdoor enthusiasts will LOVE the opportunities for camping, hunting, water-skiing, picnicking, sightseeing, boating, hiking, fishing, and the list goes on and on...
