Fiber Art
# of Pieces (including textiles, quilts, wall-hangings, baskets,
rugs. weaving, etc) Original artwork must not exceed 48"x48" (two-dimensional
or bas-relief) to ensure a consistent exhibition. Small-format work,
such as beading, is acceptable must must be framed/mounted to no more than
12"x19" for the exhibition. "Fiber Art" is defined as any artistic
presentation with fibers as the main medium, for example stitches and painting
on cloth, fibers woven or knot together. work submitted should be
fiber in content or employ a fiber related technique, must be original.
Articles made from a kit or pattern are excluded. Work can be two
or three dimensional and must be exhibit ready. The entry should
be innovative work rooted in traditional fiber materials, structure, processes
and history. |

| Reminders:
Entry forms can be submitted anytime through festival date. The Forest
County 4-H Center will be open to the public at 10:00 a.m. Vendors
and artists welcome at 8:00 a.m.; also entrants can submit art work Friday,
June 19 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. All art items must be at Festival
site and installed by 9:30 a.m. on June 20. All artwork must remain
on display until 5:00 p.m. and must be removed by 6:00 p.m. Festival
in the Forest will be held rain or shine. All artwork must be original
(no Kits); items in competition must be new to the Festival in the Forest
(not entered in a previous Festival in the Forest). |
