Celebrate! Celebrate! Just a reminder, our December meeting is on Wednesday, December 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Kellygreen B & B and its Party Time! No business meeting will be held – just pure socializing. Please bring one or more of the following for the refreshment table: a) Christmas treats such as cookies, candies, nuts, etc, or b) an appetizer, or c) a liter of your favorite soft drink. Julia, with the help of Pat Mays, has decorated her B&B for the Forest County Historical Society’s Holiday Tour. The B&B is beautiful all year long, but it will be extra special for the Holiday season.

Were art to redeem man, it could do so only by saving him from the seriousness of life and restoring him to an unexpected boyishness. I don't want life to imitate art. I want life to be art. Nature is inside art as its content, not outside as its model. The reward of art is not fame or success but intoxication: that is why so many bad artists are unable to give it up. Each of the arts whose office is to refine, purify, adorn, embellish and grace life is under the patronage of a muse, no god being found worthy to preside over them. Religion and art spring from the same root and are close kin. Economics and art are strangers.
