| The Marienville
& Tionesta Lions Clubs, are proud to announce the 8th Annual Bike Ride
to be held on Saturday ~ September 9, 2006. The ride is part of a
series of very successful earlier events and promises to be a whole lot
of fun! As in previous rides, the emphasis is on family and fun but adds
the opportunity to benefit a worthy cause for victims of Diabetes.
All entrants are encouraged to solicit sponsors for the ride, but is not
required.
This year the
ride will begin and end at the MACA Building in Marienville. It will consist
of 2 routes:

~ One Route will
be for families & casual riders ~ approximately 6 miles in length. |
|
~ Second Route
will be for those interested in a slightly longer ride of approximately
20 miles. |
Both rides will
include secondary & unimproved roads & possibly some off-road non-technical
trails & will feature the unmatched beauty and splendor found only
in Forest County!
The ride will
include rest areas along each route with fruit, juice drinks & water
and will be closely monitored by the two clubs and some additional assistance.
Prizes to be awarded by random draw at the end of the event.
