| Wherever
it takes me-

For the hard core rider, the county offers virtually unlimited riding opportunities. With close to 51% of the county a part of the Allegheny National Forest, exploring the woods can be a life long adventure. These rides are best planned ahead. The Forest Service provides printed brochures which detail established trails for bikers. In addition, individual riders are free to explore the vast woodlands and bask in the beauty of some of the best nature has to offer. |

The
best rides are well planned. Make sure you are comfortable with your understanding
of the routes and where they will take you. Maps of the area are available
from the County, the Forest Service, and area merchants. Be sure to bring
plenty to drink, and for longer rides bring an energy snack, pack a lunch,
or pick one up from one of our many area restaurants. If you really want
to escape, take along a fishing pole and relax and enjoy your stay. You
might consider packing a first aide kit just in case, and make sure someone
knows your plan and when you should return.
