2006 Forest County Bike Ride

The Marienville and Tionesta Lions Clubs are proud to announce the 8th Annual bike ride “Over-the-River-and-Through-the-Woods”.  This year the ride will begin and end at the MACA Building in Marienville.  The ride will include rest areas along each route with fruit & juice drinks.  There will be prizes awarded by random draw at the end of the event.

The ride will consist of two routes; one will be for families & casual riders ~ approximately 6 miles in length  The second route will be for those interested in a slightly longer ride of approximately 20 miles.  Both rides will include secondary & unimproved roads & possibly some off-road non-technical trails & will feature the unmatched beauty and splendor found only in Forest County!

The Rules:

        1.  All riders must pay a $15 registration fee (maximum of $45 per family of 3 or more).  All proceeds in excess of the 
             cost to conduct the event will go to benefit victims of Diabetes.  While not required, entrants are encouraged to 
            solicit sponsorship for the ride.  All sponsorship proceeds will go to benefit victims of Diabetes.
        2.  Must pre-register by Tuesday ~ August 1, 2006 to be guaranteed a T-shirt.
        3.  All riders must wear a helmet ~ no exceptions.  All riders are encouraged to ride safely, but will ride at their own risk.
        4.  Any rider leaving the identified route will no longer be considered to be a participant in the ride.
        5.  Registration on the day of the ride will occur from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.  The ride will begin at 8:45 a.m.
        6.  Prizes will be drawn randomly at the end of the event.
        7.  No motorized cycles allowed.
        8.  Parent/Guardian approval required for riders under 18 years old.
