Volunteer Docents Needed
The Board has scheduled opening days at
The History Center and Museum. Plans are to open May 27 and be open
Monday through Saturday from 10:00 to 4:00. The History Center will
be closed Sundays. This schedule will be followed until Saturday,
September 30. This will meet our requirement to be open one hundred days
per year to qualify for Pennsylvania State support.
The 2006 docent calendar will be available
at the Spring Dinner Meeting for reserving your favorite days and times
to serve as docents again this year. Volunteers can serve for a six hour
day, 10 to 4, or for three hour half days from 10 to 1 or from 1 to 4.
New volunteers are most welcome and appreciated. Call Lew or Paula Weingard
at 755-4229 to reserve the dates you are available to serve.
Each volunteer will receive a packet with
a calendar providing names, telephone numbers and times for each volunteer,
a list of names and telephone numbers of those available to fill in for
you should your scheduled date conflict with an unexpected event, a list
of suggestions and instructions on where to pick up a key, lights, keys
for the garage and Camp 7, posting sales.
