Visitor Center Opens Art Gallery

The Forest County Visitor Center has added a gallery wall of local artwork for sale to showcase the exceptional talent in and near Forest County.

This gallery currently represents ten artists and artisans with works in pencil, colored pencil, pastel, watercolor, paper collage, pottery and jewelry.  The artists are residents of Forest County or nearby communities, or have connections to Forest County.  They also participate in the local Arts Council and its annual Art Auction and Arts Festival.

The Visitor Center will host an Open House on Saturday, June 30th, from 2:00 - 5:00 pm with an opportunity to meet many of the artists, sign up for a door prize of a piece of art, and receive a free gift.  Light refreshments will be available.  Sign the guest book for updates on gallery events and specials.

The gallery will be open Monday thorugh Friday 10:00 am till 4:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am till 2:00 pm.  For more information contact the Visitor Center at 814-755-3338 or info@forestcounty.com.
