Open Weekends & By Chance

A Variety of Seasonal Retail Shops in Downtown Tionesta, PA.

If you're looking for a unique shopping experience, look no further than the Tionesta Market Village™!  Our shops offer a wide variety of items for you, your home or for gifts, as well as some offering snacks and refreshments.  Located iin the center of town, the Market Village occupies a lot destroyed by fire some ten years ago.  As with many small towns, Tionesta has been overlooked by developers as too small.  But we've taken things into our own hands and come up with a creative way to make this downtown lot productive again!

This "mini Main Street" gives residents and visitors a place to shop and relax, and gives small retail businesses the opportunity to get started selling their products in a high-visibility and high-traffic location.  In addition to the shopping opportunities, the Market Village also offers  entertainment on various weekends during the summer months. There are also picnic tables and a small playground area; perfect for relaxing, visiting, and letting the little ones play.  We invite you to shop our quaint stores, enjoy some tasty treats, kick-back for a spell and mingle with other visitors and residents; all while you soak in the relaxation of the Tionesta experience and feel the stress melt away!

While we've lost some friends from last years merchant listing, we're excited about the new merchants we're adding! Check here and on our Facebook Page for updates as they occur!

Tionesta also offers visitors several other shopping opportunities, as well as restaurants, outdoor recreation, and accommodations.  Other unique shopping includes Paluh's Whitetail Ridge Gallery, From the Forest Gallery (at the Forest County Visitor Center), and Haller's General Store.

Weekend Entertainment:

Come Relax with Us! We will list our entertainment here as soon as they are scheduled, so check back often. We are hoping this year to add a sound system to the Village to provide "soft" music in the background for our customers. We will be looking for a variety of types of entertainment, primarily focused on kids activities and/or low volume folk music. While we've enjoyed the wide range of performers we've been able to host, the clear consensus of our customers is towards folk or background music and kids entertainment/activities. Watch here or on our Facebook page for announcements of upcoming performances.

A little bit of the history of the Market Village...

From the early beginnings in 2012 the Market Village represented a local effort to build our community and create opportunity. Taking from the seasonal kiosks in the malls during the holidays, the Market Village creates a temporary use of the 300 block in Tionesta to provide a unique shopping experience and varied entertainment for residents and visitors alike. The Market Village represents what's best about small town Americanna...independent and self-reliant, willing to take a risk instead of hoping for a handout, and not wanting to wait for someone else to solve our problems. The project has enjoyed strong support from the community from the beginning, and individuals as well as companies have stepped up to offer their talents and services. The Grand Opening was on June 14, 2013 and we've been going strong ever since! Come enjoy the unique experience of the Village...shop, relax and visit...feel the stress melt away!
