The workshop will include presentations on small ideas with big impact that have helped communities
like ours, and how local foods can support a more livable community and stronger local economy. There
will be small group working sessions and discussions on the communityâ€™s vision and goals, and specific
actions for reaching them. The workshop will lay out an action plan for moving forward.
Who: Local residents, stakeholders, community leaders, and elected officials; regional, state, and
federal agency representatives; and facilitators from Renaissance Planning.
What: Discussions on community livability and local foods, group work sessions, and networking
that will result in a Next Steps Action Plan.
Evening Session: Tuesday, April 28 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at The Flying W Ranch, Route 666, with
dinner buffet option ($15). (Oriented to members of the community, public and civic leaders and
stakeholders who are interested in the goals of the program.)
Full Day Action Planning Work Sessions: Wednesday, April 29 from 9:00 to Noon and 1:30 to 5:00
PM at The Flying W Ranch, with lunch option ($15). (Oriented to those in the local food network,
community leaders and residents who will together participate in implementing the plan).

The Forest Folk School will be offering several workshops throughout the Spring and Summer that will appeal to a wide variety of participant interests. The workshops will be held both mid-week and weekends, from single day to multi-weekend. Families are encouraged to take workshops together and review the workshop descriptions to select one appropriate to their children’s ages.
The 2015 Festival in the Forest Art Show and Competition will be held Saturday, June 20, from 10am-5pm at the Forest County 4-H Center on Rt 36 south of Tionesta. This free admission event draws a growing crowd of art lovers to buy art direct from the artists and to see hundreds of pieces of art compete for prizes. Event is sponsored by the Forest Area Arts Council and Pennsylvania Parnters in the Arts.
